Founded in 1910 after being inspired by Lord Baden-Powell's Worldwide Scouting Movement, Scouting America has had a continuous evolution in the names we use for program subsets and the overarching program. The term "Boy Scouts" became "Scouts, B.S.A." in 2019 when girls were accepted into the Troop program level. Due to the success of including girls in all levels of Scouting, the name "Boy Scouts of America" is being phased out on a national level and starting on February 8th, 2025, we will be officially known as Scouting America.
While Scouting America was founded in 1910, Rialto did not get Pack 103 until 1966. Pack 103 has been in continuous operation since then. In 2024 we are celebrating 57 years of existence. Though our meeting places have changed, we still hold to the principals of Cub Scouting.
The current version of Troop 110 was founded in 2001 and met at Grace Lutheran Church for many years. Currently, both Troops as well as the Pack meet at the Rialto Adult School. In 2024, we celebrated our 56th Eagle Scout in the Boy's Troop.
Founded in 2010, Crew 1110 is a High Adventure based Scouting unit. Youth and Adult Participants aged 14 to 21 can join. In January of 2024, we awarded our first Summit Award in the Venturing Crew. She is also the first Summit Award Recipient in Old Baldy District as well!
The Boy Scouts officially transitioned to Scouts, B.S.A. in 2019, opening the door to girls between the ages of 11 to 17.
In late 2022, Troop 110G was chartered so that girls could have the same opportunities that boys had to enjoy the Scouting America Program.
In late July of 2024, we gained our very first female Eagle Scout in the Girl's Troop and 57th Eagle Scout overall. This is also Old Baldy District's second female Eagle!
