Welcome to the jungle! Pack 103 is a co-ed Cub Scout unit that focuses on introducing families to Scouting in a way that is both family friendly and age appropriate.
A Cub Scout Pack is a unit comprised of youth aged 5-11 who age out of the program when they become a sixth grader. The unit focuses on introducing the members of the Pack to what Scouting is as well as basic life and Scout skills while breaking the unit down into subgroups based on age and grade level to make the program engaging to each level.
Just like in other Scouting America programs, our Cub Scout Pack has adult leaders between the committee and program that are fully trained in the Pack leadership positions. Our Pack has a parent committee that is focused on the administrative side of running a Pack while also keeping the parents in the loop. The Committee Chair is the head of this committee and works with the Cub Master in order to create a program that is enjoyable for the Cubs and their families.
Each level, or den, has their own den leader which is the primary leader in charge of the group of Cubs. The Den Leaders can elect to have an assistant if they wish in order to share in managing the den. The Den Leaders and Assistant Den Leaders report to the Cub Master and the Assistant Cub Masters as the Cub Master is the head of program for a Pack.
Our Cub Scouts have participated in activities such as day camps, camping trips, and short hikes keeping in the spirit of Scouting. However, there have also been activities such as a Pinewood Derby, fishing trips, and the Rain Gutter Regatta.
We love meeting new families interested in Scouting, so feel free to visit during a meeting.
